Model Train Museum
A few weeks ago we visited a model train museum and had a very interesting time checking the collection and history of many authentic train models. Then we let Ted and Elton practice being train engineers and driving the models around the tracks. It was a huge room with a large village diorama and many rail lines traveling through towns, mountains and valleys.
It was really impressive, and the guides for Ted and Elton were equally impressed with their train driving abilities which consisted of moving the lever forward or backward to control the speed, starting and stopping.
Judy and I were more impressed with the village than their train driving.
Another Train Museum
After the model trains, we decided that we needed something bigger to drive. It is called The Railway Museum and it’s in Saitama so we decided to drive a car to get there. On the way we stopped for lunch and Elton had his big Strawberry Milk drink.
We finally got to the museum and found a guide for the guys. They like to ask tons of questions, so we split up.
Judy and I went around finding trains that we could drive while they tortured the poor guide. (I think he vowed to never volunteer again.)
I think the most fun we had, though, was posing for the simulator camera.
